On the potentiometer electric control handle of Chengong Electrical Control Technology, To ensure the output of the handle meets the requirements of safety and reliability, we have designed a brush-type directional switch in addition to the potentiometer brush inside. When the handle is in the neutral position, the front and rear direction switch is all in the "OFF" state. When the handle "swings forward or to the left", The "front or left direction switch" of the handle is "ON". When the handle is "rocked backward or to the right", the "rear or right direction switch" of the handle is "ON".
Most electronic control experts may not know the purpose and use of this direction switch, and they will have the following questions.
(1) The purpose of the direction switch is to ensure the output signal of the handle is safe and reliable (It means the dual redundant design of the potentiometer and the direction switch).
(2) Direction switch usage: This direction switch can only be used to output a direction signal and cannot be used to drive loads with a driving current greater than 1mA such as solenoid valves and relays. We generally control the on-resistance of the direction switch below 200 ohms. So it can be used to output a low-voltage high-level signal (such as 5VDC).
